Our inclusive community choirs are based in Lancaster, Preston, Chorley, Blackburn & Wigan; supporting local charities & celebrating local community through the joy of singing together.

⭐️ Local by name, local by nature

Our community choirs support local charities across the North West, and have currently raised over £20,000 for local causes in need, including Derian House, Wigan & Leigh Hospice, Wigan Stars and North West Blood Bikes. We exclusively work with local musicians, creatives and businesses and our main goal is to celebrate local community.
Local Vocals does what it says on the tin!

⭐️ Singing for everybody

At just £24 per month, the Local Vocals subscription covers 33 rehearsals per year, including three Big Sings - a chance for the whole community to sing as one choir. The subscription cost also includes access to online harmony parts, extra rehearsal resources, workshops, performances, recording opportunities and social events. We aim to be as affordable as possible during these unprecedented and challenging times.

⭐️ Bespoke arrangements & resources

Our community choirs sing popular, feel-good songs from across the decades, using arrangements that are accessible to everybody. (Foo Fighters, ABBA, Fleetwood Mac, Kate Bush, Depeche Mode, Bryan Adams, Anastasia, Eurythmics, The Killers, Pink Floyd, Jackson 5, The Jam, Florence & The Machine, Elbow, Bruce Springsteen, Coldplay, Lighthouse Family and more are currently in our repertoire!) All of our arrangements and tracks are written & produced by the Local Vocals team, comprised of local musicians.

⭐️ We give our choir members a choice

One song from each term is chosen by our Local Vocals, and our local charities are nominated by members of our community too. As well as this, we regularly request and listen to feedback in order to deliver the best possible rehearsals, performances and experiences. We believe that every voice in our community needs to be heard!

⭐️ Plus all of the other good stuff

Local festivals, galas, weddings, artisan markets, theatre shows and TV & radio appearances are just some of the wonderful performance opportunities we have as a community choir. On top of this, we organise regular social activities to get involved in; including local walks, residential trips, swimming, water-colouring, bowling, crazy golf, meals out and much more. The great thing about our community is that choir members are welcome to partake in as much of the Local Vocals experience as they want or are able to.
